In addition to medications, some measures can be taken to overcome sinus headaches, including:

  • Steam inhalation: Steam inhalation helps relieve sinus pain, thereby treating the headache that accompanies it.
  • Place a warm towel over the sinus area: It is recommended to dip a towel in warm water and then place it on the sinus area to stimulate mucus drainage and relieve pressure, and this is repeated several times daily.
  • Gently squeeze the sinus pressure points: It is preferable to start with the area of the bridge of the nose between the eyes, and to maintain constant pressure for one minute, as this helps relieve the blockage caused by the accumulation of mucus.

To enhance the drainage of the nose, it is recommended to gently press both sides of the nose at once, then bend the head forward and blow from the nose.

  • Drink plenty of fluids: to help maintain body hydration and relieve sinus pain.
